Since 1959 we have proudly called New York City our home. What began as a hobby between father and son quickly evolved into a thriving family business; and nearly 60 years and three generations later, we are still providing the same Brigandi Quality at a new, state-of-the-art location!
New York City is different from every other city. It’s tough. It's rough. It’s fast... All of which make it the greatest city in the world, and we wouldn't want it any other way.
This notion certainly applies when running a business. If you’re not willing to put in the work day in and day out, you will fail – simple as that. Collectors understand that the finest items and best prices are in New York City, but as a business, you also need to balance your trust and honesty with that one-of-a-kind hustle ingrained in the people that call this great city home. As a family, we grasped that sentiment and captured that identity, and it’s why our clients come back year after year...decade after decade.
Last year when we were told we had to give up our location on 44th Street, our home for 35 years, we were absolutely devastated. We were the oldest tenant in the the 21- story Hippodrome Building, and one of the few remaining small-family businesses in The City. Leaving 44th Street was a tough pill to swallow, but when the emotions settled down we got right back to work. We knew we’d be back in NYC, it was only a matter of when and where. We spent all these years putting together a world renowned collection and a long list of the finest collectors in the world. We knew we weren’t done… not even close!
We owed it to you and we owed it to ourselves… because if New York City has taught us anything, it’s that when you get knocked down, you bounce back even stronger.
When it came down to finding a new location, we knew we had to upgrade to a larger space with a luxurious showroom and state-of-the-art office facilities. We found all that and more on 57th Street and Park Avenue, New York’s City’s premiere luxury retail neighborhood. We feel extremely lucky to have partnered with The Dorchester, and we look forward to sharing our success with one of New York City's finest residential buildings. This truly is the perfect match for our brand and the future of our business.
Although the transition took longer than we hoped, we couldn’t be happier to be back in New York City after a brief summer hiatus. While we’re still working on some finishing touches, we invite you to please stop by 104 East 57th Street and join us as we turn the page to this exciting chapter of our beloved Family Business.
