Offered here is presidential appointment dated February 11, 1907, appointing Edward E. Armour to the Register of Land Office in Sterling, Colorado. What makes this piece is special is the autograph itself. Teddy rendered his signature in black ink, which remains as bold as the day he signed. In fact, PSA/DNA has graded the autograph a PERFECT GEM MINT 10 – the first we’ve ever owned on Roosevelt document. The autograph measures an astounding 6 inches in length!
The appointment measures approximately 16" x 20" and is countersigned by U.S. Secretary of Interior Ethan A. Hitchcock.
