Mickey Mantle & Joe DiMaggio Dual Signed 11x14 Photo. Grade PSA 9.5
1951 Changing of the Guard!
The 1951 season marked the end of Joe DiMaggio's stellar Major League career, and introduced baseball fans to the Oklahoma Kid, Mickey Mantle. It was the perfect passing of the torch in the Bronx, as the Yankees seamlessly transitioned from one Hall of Fame centerfielder to another. We always refer to the 1951 season as the Changing of the Guard! Naturally, in their lone season together, DiMaggio and Mantle won a World Series Title by defeating the NY Giants in the '51 Fall Classic.
As two of the greatest players of all-time, Mantle and DiMaggio headlined the sports memorabilia craze of the 1980s-1990s. Dual-signed items are highly coveted, especially in such high-grade. Presented here is a rare, oversized image measuring 11x14, which is not as often seen as the more common 8x10 variety. The autographs are presented in bold blue ink, and Graded 9.5 Overall by PSA/DNA – Mantle Gem Mint 10, DiMaggio Mint 9!
