Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris Dual Signed 8x10 Photo, Framed. PSA Mint 9 Rare
The 1961 season will go down as one of the most iconic years in Major League Baseball’s rich history. It presented one of the games most fearsome duos in Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris, as the two Yankee sluggers battled to break Babe Ruth's single season home run record of 60 HR's (1927). In the end, Maris would eclipse The Babe’s record with 61 dingers to became the single season home run king. Mantle, ridden by injuries late in the season, fell shy at 54. It is the only time in Major league history that a pair of teammates hit over 50 home runs each, and their record of 115 combined HRs that season is still the Major League record.
Dual signed photos featuring Mantle and Maris are in high demand and extremely rare in Mint Condition. The example offered here is graded Mint 9 by PSA/DNA. Mantle is graded GEM MINT 10 and Maris Near Mint 8! This gorgeous photo is presented in a custom frame with Yankee color matting.
