Gil Hodges Signed Autograph Display
First Day of Issue Stamp
Baseball Centennial Envelope
1969 Ohio Hall of Fame
In 1969, Gil Hodges managed the New York Mets to their first World Series Title in franchise history. This First Day Cover, signed by Hodges, celebrates the 100 year anniversary of Major League Baseball and features the First Day of Issue stamp as well as a beautiful vignette of Babe Ruth and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Postmarked in Cincinnati, Ohio - from the Ohio Baseball Hall of Fame founded by Tom Eakin - it is dated September 24, 1969, just a few weeks prior to Hodges and the Mets being crowned champions. The signed envelope has been custom framed and matted into a display along with a photo of Hodges from his playing days with the Dodgers.
