Douglas MacArthur Signed Photo - Circa 1950
Five Star General Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964) is one of Americas finest military heroes. He served as Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s and later played the most prominent role in Americas Pacific stance during World War II as Commander of United States Army Forces in the Far East. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his defense of the Philippines. That distinction was also bestowed upon his father in 1890, making them the first father and son to receive such honors.
Offered here is a signed 8x10 portrait of a pensive MacArthur in his official military uniform. The intimate black and white, period photograph strongly depicts a revered leader who dedicated his life to serving his country. This large-size signature, measuring 3 inches long in black fountain pen, is one of the most highly sought after military autographs in 20th Century American History.
The portrait has been placed in archival mylar into handsome, brown custom frame measuring 13x15 with UV protected plexiglass.
Comes with a certificate of authenticity from Brigandi Coins & Collectibles of New York, a leader in collectibles since 1959.
