The title of the poster says it all... simply entitled, "THE FIGHT"
This is an official on-site poster that hung at Madison Square Garden to promote the first of three fights between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, which took place in on March 8, 1971. It was the first time that two undefeated boxers fought each other for the heavyweight title. One of the most hyped and iconic bouts of all time, the fight lived up to the hype with Joe Frazier knocking Ali down in the last round (15th) and winning the fight by unanimous decision. The poster measures 22" x 28" on cardboard type material. The Murray Poster Print logo in lower right corner, which is indicative of the actual on site poster to one of boxing's most memorable events. Ali and Frazier would go on to fight two more times, in what would become the greatest trilogy in boxing history, with Ali defeating Frazier in the second and third fights.
