Roy Campanella Single Signed Baseball
PSA & JSA
Your chance to own one of the most elusive baseballs in the hobby, offered here is a Roy Campanella Single Signed Baseball. Boldly signed and inscribed “Best Wishes”, this is an early 1950’s, pre-accident style signature. These relics seldom hit the market and are a must for any serious collector!
Although he may not have received as much star attention as Dodger teammates Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, and Pee Wee Reese, Roy Campanella was certainly among the most popular "Boys of Summer”. The Hall of Fame catcher was a 3x National League MVP (1951, 1953, 1955) and, of course, a World Series Champion in 1955.
Unfortunately, in 1958, Campanella was involved in a car accident that ended his promising career after just 10 seasons. Autograph collecting was not a commercialized hobby at this point, and while “Campy” was an accommodating signer, his window of time - just a 10-year playing career - was obviously shorted. Just a few single-signed baseballs are actually known to exist today, and each demands serious value!
